Welcome to my home on the web!  Here you will find my curriculum vitae, a statement of my teaching philosophy and pedagogical strategies, information about my current research, a link to my blogs, and a host of other miscellaneous items.

I am currently Visiting Assistant Professor of History at Sam Houston State University.  This fall I will teach the first half of the U.S. survey (HIS 163) and American religious history (HIS 360).

In May 2009 I finished a Ph.D. in history at the University of Houston, where I studied American religious history, and religion in world history.

I also published my first book in 2009 (with Shayne Lee), a study of religious celebrities and American culture titled Holy Mavericks: Evangelical Innovators and the Spiritual Marketplace.

Please stay a while, and check back for frequent updates.  Thanks for stopping by.
